  • Hi John, thanks so much for the information and references you have given me regarding black holes. I have a simple question though. Why does a black hole, say the size of the earth, whose mass is equal to a massive star 100,000 times its size, affect space differently than the larger star since they have roughly equal mass? Is the effect similar to focusing a light into a tiny spec who's intensity increases the smaller it gets. Like a magnifying glass? Thanks kindly for your time.
